That instrument must be fed continuously with a nice range of samples and experiments, to develop the methods, and to get some cool papers out of it. My hope is that we can run the instrument part of the time as a user facility as well, where a very small proposal can result in some days of measurement time.<\/p>\n<p>To do all of this, and to push the limits of the technique, we need someone to fill the instrument scientist position. Their job is what my dream job would be: a three year focus on nothing but the coolest experiments and most interesting collaborations you can imagine!
