Help speed up the fastest* USAXS in the world: a 3-year post-doc position at Diamond I22

The current implementation of the previously portable, previously inexpensive USAXS instrument at the DLS I22 beamline

I have it on good authority, that you can now do a WAXS/SAXS/USAXS measurement at Diamond in about 47 seconds, thanks to the relentless efforts of Emily, Andy and Tim (and a tiny bit from my side) to drastically improve our OG prototype. That should make it the fastest in the world, but the hunt is on to cement that claim, and perhaps bring it down by another order of magnitude. Therefore, I22 has opened up a post-doc position for three years to do just that.

If you’re in for an exciting time (in an admittedly rather unexciting Didcot, UK), check out their job opening.
